ALIEN BOUQUET

Madison Children’s Museum

Madison, WI, USA: Unbuilt

Vaguely botanical. Other-worldly. Whimsical. Seussian. Rustic and raw. This project has been described as a clump of exotic plants, plucked from the deepest part of an alien forest. This inhabitable, climbable sculpture is an answer to the question: How can we move our bodies through thrilling feats of physical courage as well as emotionally-connected moments of repose? This design process heavily relies upon cutting-edge digital technologies to not only manage fabrication information, but to make necessary accommodations for the hand-built and artisan participation.
