NATIONAL CHILDREN’S FUTURE MUSEUM

Taipei, Taiwan: 2023

Skyhouse Studio partnered with a Taiwanese architecture firm to develop an ambitious vision plan for what will be the largest children’s museum in the world.

As part of our submission for this international design competition, we proposed a diverse assortment of simulated future worlds that act as settings for open-ended, adventurous play.

The first three floors hold the core of the children's exhibits: immersive environments that experiment with future themes ranging from sustainable ecologies to interplanetary travel, and from artificial intelligence-driven biotechnologies to Taiwanese traditions transformed.

We envisioned a museum as a divergent, de-centralized vision of the future that captures a true sense of free creativity, and of the secrets of the universe made ready to reveal. We proposed the National Children's Future Museum as a life-changing, monumental-scale prompt, which asks children the question, "What kind of future will you create?"
